Class Rules

The Hadley RC club currently races different vehicle classes. Some classes are divided into student and adult classes. All vehicle classes are electric motor only.

Student Slash (updated Oct 2018)

These are the rules for the Spec Club Class and there are no exceptions.

  1. No modifications may be made to the chassis. You may only use Traxxas stock replacement or other plastic parts such as RPM parts. For the rear hub carriers, steering knuckles and “C” hubs. You may use aluminum replacement parts.
  2. All trucks must use a short course truck body.
  3. Front and rear suspension systems must remain in stock form. Original Traxxas parts only.
    • The original Progressive White Springs MUST be used.
    • Original Traxxas turnbuckles must be used.
    • Shock spacers are allowed to shorten travel.
    • Different weight shock oils can be used.
  4. No modifications may be made to the steering system.
  5. The original electronic speed control (XL-5) must be used. You may install any receiver.
  6. This class is restricted to the stock Traxxas Titan 12T brushed motor.
  7. You must use a six or seven cell NIMH battery, NO LIPOS.
  8. Only Traxxas Slash tires are allowed.
  9. You must use the original drive components, including the differential.
  10. You must use the original pinion and spur gear.

Student 4-Tech 2.0 (added Oct 2018)

  1. No modifications may be made to the chassis. You may only use Traxxas stock replacement or other plastic parts such as RPM parts. For the rear hub carriers, steering knuckles and “C” hubs, You may use aluminum replacement parts.
  2. You must use a car body.
  3. Front and rear suspension systems must remain in stock form.
  4. No modifications can be made to the steering system.
  5. You must use the Traxxas speed control and motor.
  6. You must use six or seven cell NIMH batteries. NO LIPO batteries are allowed.
  7. You cannot use foam tires.
  8. You must use the original drive components including the differentials. You cannot add different diff fluid, silly putty, etc.
  9. You must use the original pinion and spur sizes.

21.5 Touring for Students and Adults

Any touring car with a touring car body is allowed in this race.

Restrictions for this class:

  1. Motors: Brushless 21.5 only, Brushed: 27t, Tamiya Silver Can or Tamiya Sport Tuned
  2. Tires: Foam or Rubber
  3. Batteries: only 6 cell NiMH/NiCd or 2 cell Lipo

VTA – Vintage Trans Am for Students and Adults

Restrictions for this class:

  1. Brushless 25.5 only
  2. USVTA Spec Treaded Tires Only
  3. USVTA Spec Body
  4. 6 cell NiMH/NiCD or 2 Cell Lipo Only
